New Authority Program

Half of new transportation businesses
are gone by year five.

Federal data shows about 1 in 5 new transportation businesses closes within its first year, and half are gone within five years. Pricing loads below cost and running short on cash are two of the most common ways a new carrier goes under. Both can be planned for. KOMPASS helps new carriers set a rate floor, manage cash flow, and build a customer base before the first hard month arrives.

Authority under 6 months?

KOMPASS tenders loads to carriers with operating authority active for 6 months or more. If your authority is newer, start with our consulting services now and you will be ready to haul with us when you reach 6 months.

Do I need an account to upload documents?

No. The upload page works in any browser on a phone or computer, and you can add all of your files at once. Type your MC number as first name and your company as last name so your files are labeled correctly.

Who can see the files I upload?

Only KOMPASS. Uploaded files go to a private company folder. You can upload to it but you cannot view the folder or anyone else's files.

How long does setup take?

Your part takes about five minutes. KOMPASS then verifies your authority, safety record, and insurance before tendering a load.

Do I have to haul for KOMPASS to use the consulting services?

No. Carrier services are open to any motor carrier or owner operator. Carriers who already haul with us can bring real load data, which makes the analysis faster.

My authority is less than 6 months old. Can I work with KOMPASS?

Yes, through consulting. KOMPASS tenders loads once your authority has been active for 6 months. Until then, we can help you set your rate floor, plan cash flow, and build a customer base so you reach that point in strong shape.
